KATHMANDU: The parliamentary hearing process on proposed Chief Justice Dr. Manoj Sharma is set to begin today, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, following the filing of 16 complaints against him.
The Parliamentary Hearing Committee had opened a 10-day window for submitting complaints after its May 9 meeting, during which all 16 complaints were registered within the deadline.
The committee has asked complainants to attend the proceedings at Singha Durbar as the hearing formally begins.
Earlier, the committee had scheduled preparatory meetings to review the complaints and outline the next steps in the vetting process.
Based on the initial review, the committee may hold discussions with complainants and proceed with further hearings to advance the nomination process.
