KATHMANDU: At least seven people were killed and 97 others injured in a series of road accidents reported across Nepal over the past 24 hours, according to official data of Nepal Police.

Traffic accidents were recorded in all provinces, raising concerns over road safety and increasing risks on the nation’s highways.

According to the provincial record, Sudurpashchim recorded 3 deaths and 6 injuries, whereas Lumbini reported 2 deaths and 5 injuries.

Similarly, Bagmati witnessed 1 death and 5 injuries. Koshi recorded 1 death and 34 injuries. Madhesh Province reported no fatalities but 25 injuries.

Kathmandu Valley saw 21 people injured with no deaths reported in the 24 hours. Karnali Province recorded 1 injury and no fatalities.
Gandaki Province reported no road accidents causing casualties in the last 24 hours.
