SUNSARI: An all-party discussion was convened by the District Administration Office, Sunsari, to address tensions following an incident in Kaptanganj, Dewanganj Rural Municipality-3.

According to Sunsari Superintendent of Police Keshav Thebe, authorities urged all sides to exercise restraint while investigations into the clash were underway.

The dispute between two local groups escalated, prompting police intervention to regain control of the situation.

The incident resulted in the death of 24-year-old Om Prakash Mehta, who succumbed to gunshot injuries during treatment.

In response to the unrest, authorities imposed an indefinite prohibitory order across the area to maintain order and prevent further violence.
