Former PM Nepal returns home after attending international conference in Russia

KATHMANDU: Madhav Kumar Nepal, co-coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party and former Prime Minister, returned home today after participating in the International Communist Conference.

Former Prime Minister Nepal returned today following his participation in the conference, which he attended at the invitation of the Russian Communist Party.

He had departed for Russia on May 23. Representing Nepal at the conference, he delivered a speech on the popularity and challenges of communist ideology in the global context.

During his visit, Nepal held meetings with top leaders, including Gennady Zyuganov, the General Secretary of the Russian Communist Party.

According to Mohan Gautam, personal secretary to the former Prime Minister, the discussions focused on bilateral friendly relations, economic development, and matters of mutual interest.

Upon his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, he was welcomed by top leaders and cadres of his party.
