KATHMANDU: A total of 26,680 students have qualified to take Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s (KMC) scholarship selection exam for Classes 11 and 12, after 208 of the 26,888 total applications were rejected.

Scheduled for May 31, this examination system was introduced in 2023 to systematically distribute institutional scholarship quotas across the metropolitan area.

Applicants must download their admit cards from the official portal (entrance.kathmandu.gov.np`)using their SEE symbol number, date of birth, and received password.

Crucially, KMC has made color-printed admit cards strictly mandatory to prevent proxy examinees from taking the test on behalf of genuine scholarship seekers; black-and-white or blurry printouts will be completely rejected.

On exam day, candidates must bring their color admit card along with a valid photo ID, such as an SEE admit card, school ID, or citizenship certificate.

Any violation of the code of conduct printed on the back will lead to immediate exam cancellation and legal action.

To ensure a smooth process, the Education Department has oriented center chiefs to maintain a fair, stress-free environment, noting that unlike ward-recommended scholarships up to Class 10, these high school quotas are awarded strictly based on merit.
