Public passenger bus drivers caught driving under the influence of alcohol

OKHALDHUNGA: A fire broke out at Kerauni of Siddicharan municipality-2 in Okhaldhunga district today morning, destroying two houses belonging to a local resident. Property worth over Rs 5.7 million was damaged in the incident.

The fire erupted at the houses of Buddhi Kumar Acharya due to a short circuit, according to the District Police Office, Okhaldhunga. Both houses were completely gutted in the blaze.

Properties including clothes, utensils, gold and silver items and cash amounting to Rs 1 million were reduced to ashes, police said. The fire was doused off in about three hours with the joint efforts of local residents and security personnel.
