KATHMANDU: A meeting of House of Representatives is scheduled to take place today.

The meeting, called for 11 AM, will begin discussions on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill, excluding tax proposals.

Following the completion of discussions on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill — effectively the framework of the national budget — the government is set to present the budget for the fiscal year 2026/27 on May 29.

Before the budget-related discussion begins, a proposal seeking consideration of the “House of Representatives Regulations Draft Committee Report 2026” will be presented in the House.

According to the tentative agenda, the proposal will be tabled by committee chairperson Ganesh Parajuli.
