SURKHET: Voting is ongoing in all 10 districts of Karnali Province.
Karnali has 12 constituencies for the House of Representatives, with 941 polling locations and more than 1,400 polling stations. According to the Election Commission’s Karnali Province Office, voting is taking place at all polling stations.
According to Election Officer Lal Bahadur Gurung, by 11 a.m. the number of votes cast in the upper Karnali districts is as follows: 7,393 votes in Humla, 9,420 in Mugu, 7,847 in Kalikot, 2,859 in Jumla, and 2,857 in Dolpa.
Similarly, more than 51,000 votes have been cast in Surkhet. Gurung also informed Nepal News that 10,402 votes were cast in Jajarkot, 5,564 in Dailekh, 12,347 in Rukum West, and 16,785 in Salyan.
