KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has strongly criticized the incumbent government, stating that its actions have severely disillusioned the public regarding the promise of good governance.

Expressing his discontent with the performance of the ruling party, Pokharel remarked that the general public is now growing tired of the government’s rhetoric.

“If the actions and activities of those who came to power on the plank of ‘good governance’ are to be taken as the standard of good governance, then the time has come for the public to say—’Enough, we do not need this kind of good governance,'” Pokharel stated.

The senior UML leader’s remarks come amid rising public debate over accountability, policy delivery and administrative competence under the current Balen Shah government.
