KATHMANDU: Three opposition parties walked out of the House of Representatives meeting after Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle began responding to questions raised over the government’s policies and programmes.

Lawmakers from the Nepali Communist Party, Shram Sanskriti Party, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party staged the boycott by leaving the parliamentary chamber in protest.

The opposition parties said they were dissatisfied with the government’s working style and took the step as a form of protest.

While the finance minister was defending the government’s policies and programmes in Parliament, opposition lawmakers objected to them and boycotted the session.
