DADELDHURA: An Armed Police Force (APF) personnel and another individual have gone missing from the banks of the Mahakali River in Parshuram Municipality-5, Dadeldhura.

According to District Police Office Dadeldhura, the missing individuals have been identified as APF Constable Om Prakash Pun Magar, currently stationed at the Border Outpost (BOP) in Parigaon, and a local resident, 56-year-old Tirtha Bahadur Thapa Magar.

Both individuals have been out of contact since Friday.

The two are reportedly related as maternal uncle and nephew. Since an inflatable tube used by them was recovered from the banks of the Mahakali River, authorities strongly suspect they might have been swept away by the river current.

Following the incident, security forces have intensified their search operations.
