KATHMANDU: The government has transferred eight Additional Inspectors General (AIG) of the Nepal Police.
The decision to transfer the AIGs was made during a Council of Ministers (Cabinet) meeting held on Thursday.
According to sources at the Cabinet Secretariat, AIGs have been shuffled across the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), Kathmandu Valley Police Office, National Police Academy, and various police departments.
Uma Prasad Chaturvedi, who was working in the Operations Department, has been transferred to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB).
Manoj Kumar KC, who was stationed at the CIB, has been transferred to the Crime Investigation Department.
Meanwhile, Rajan Adhikari of the Human Resources Department has been moved to the National Police Academy, while Siddhi Bikram Shah of the Academy has been transferred to the Operations Department.
Sushil Singh Rathor of the Crime Investigation Department has been transferred to the Kathmandu Valley Police Office.
Similarly, Dambar Bahadur BK, who was working in the Province Coordination Department, has been transferred to the Administration Department.
Himalaya Shrestha of the Administration Department has been moved to the Province Coordination Department and Ishwor Karki of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office has been transferred to the Human Resources Department.
