KATHMANDU: A fire broke out late Wednesday night at the transport section of the Armed Police Force (APF) Headquarters in Halchowk.

According to APF Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Bishnu Prasad Bhatta, the fire started in the area where vehicles were parked within the transport division.

Firefighters and emergency personnel managed to bring the blaze under control within 20 minutes of the incident.

DIG Bhatta stated that the details regarding the extent of the damage are currently being collected and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
