DANG: One person died on the spot after a mini truck met with an accident in Rolpa this morning.

The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old Chandra Bahadur Basnet, a resident of Dudilabot in Bagchaur Municipality-4, Salyan, according to Inspector Sunil Thapa of the District Police Office, Rolpa.

The incident occurred along the Balle-Jhinuwa internal road section at Patle in Madi Rural Municipality-1. The mini truck (Ra 1 Kha 3045), which was heading toward Pokhara loaded with potatoes from Ballekhola, veered off the road and plunged about 30 meters down when the track suddenly caved in beneath it.

The driver of the vehicle sustained injuries in the accident.
