KATHMANDU: The final list of 155 players participating in the player auction for the third edition of the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) has been officially released.
According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), a total of 347 players had initially registered for the tournament.
Following a screening process, 155 players were deemed eligible for the auction.
The auction is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Monday) in Kathmandu.
Among the players included in the auction list, 5 are placed in Category ‘A’, 27 in Category ‘B’, and 123 in Category ‘C’.
A total of 52 Nepali players will be signed by the eight franchise teams through this auction.
Starting from this edition, CAN has introduced a provision allowing each team to include two additional Nepali players. .
Including the marquee player and talent hunt selections, each franchise will now consist of a total of 14 Nepali players.
