KATHMANDU: Various parts of country including Kathmandu Valley have experienced rainfall this evening.

Currently, it is raining in the hilly regions of Gandaki, Bagmati and Koshi provinces due to the effect of the newly developed weather system, which is gradually shifting to the east, according to Weather Forecasting Division.

Meteorologist Govind Jha said that some few places in the hilly regions have also seen lightning and thunder together with rainfall.

The Division has forecasted light snowfall in a few upper hilly and the mountainous places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces this night.

The rainfall brought relief to the polluted Kathmandu city.
