BANKE: One person has died after a magic van collided with an e-rickshaw in Ward No. 11 of Kohalpur Municipality, Banke district.

According to the Area Police Office, Kohalpur, the deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Bhim Bahadur Shahi, a resident of Kohalpur-11 and the driver of the e-rickshaw.

DSP Laxmi Khanal, the chief of the Area Police Office in Kohalpur, stated that the accident occurred late Sunday evening. E-rickshaw driver Shahi, who was critically injured in the accident involving vehicle number Bhe 1 Kha 9561, was undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur, but succumbed to his injuries during treatment that night.

Following the incident, police took driver Shahi of the magic van into custody, and further investigation is underway.
