KATHMANDU: Victims representing depositors from 19 branch offices of Karnali Development Bank across Banke, Bardiya, and Dang districts staged a protest at Maitighar, Kathmandu, on Monday. The demonstrators gathered to express their frustration over the lack of response to their repeated demands for the return of their savings.

The depositors claimed they have been unable to withdraw their hard-earned money for a long period. By taking their protest to the capital, they aimed to draw the urgent attention of relevant government authorities and regulatory bodies.

The depositors called for the safe return of their savings, legal action against those responsible, and an immediate resolution to the problem.

Participants carried placards with various slogans during the protest. According to the demonstrators, they resorted to public protest after repeated requests and appeals failed to prompt meaningful action from the relevant agencies.
