KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah has stated that his casual communication style on his days off should not be viewed as an issue, addressing recent public discourse surrounding his social media presence.

In a statement published on his Facebook page, the Prime Minister clarified that his intensive, week-long work schedule warrants the flexibility to share lighter or more relaxed commentary during his personal time.

Shah noted that his unconventional public style is a regular feature of his routine, adding that public concern would only be necessary if his disposition changed permanently.

The remark functions as a direct response to ongoing discussions among observers regarding institutional decorum and executive communication.

The clarification follows a post shared a day prior, in which Prime Minister Shah published a joint photograph alongside Home Minister Sudhan Gurung and Physical Infrastructure Minister Sunil Lamsal.

The image, captioned “Prime Minister, Home Minister, Infrastructure Minister – The Nation-Building Team!”, generated widespread public engagement across digital platforms and served as the immediate context for his subsequent statement.
