KATHMANDU: Today, two important committees under the National Assembly of Nepal’s Federal Parliament are set to convene at Singha Durbar to discuss pressing issues related to federal governance and legislative reforms.

The Committee on Strengthening Federalism and National Concerns will meet at 11 am in the committee hall. The agenda includes reviewing the 2023 report on human-wildlife conflicts in national parks, wildlife reserves, and buffer zones nationwide.

The committee will also evaluate the progress made on directives it previously issued to government agencies. At 1 pm, the Legislation Management Committee will hold its session at Singha Durbar. Members will conduct a detailed clause-by-clause review of the proposed “Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts, 2023.”

This bill aims to update various laws to better align them with constitutional mandates and current policy requirements.
