PALPA: Two people were killed and another seriously injured in a jeep accident near Syapat hill in Purba Khola-5, Palpa, on Monday evening.

The incident occurred around 4 PM when a pickup jeep (registration number Lu 1 Cha 6756), traveling from Tansen toward Rampur via Aryabhagjyang-Rampur road, skidded off the road and fell approximately 300 meters down the slope.
According to the District Police Office Palpa, the deceased have been identified as 46-year-old Binod Dhungana of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-11 and an unidentified man aged approximately between 40 and 45 years.

Another passenger, 30-year-old Raju Khadka, also from Butwal-11, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Lumbini Medical College in Prabhas, Tansen.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Malla of Palpa informed that further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway. Preliminary reports suggest the vehicle was transporting eggs to Rampur when the crash occurred.
