KATHMANDU: Raju Nath Pandey, Chief of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Municipal Police, resumed his duties on Thursday after the Patan High Court issued an interim order halting his suspension.
The court’s order, delivered on Wednesday by a joint bench of Judges Rishi Raj Bhandari and Dilli Ratna Shrestha, instructed concerned authorities not to enforce the suspension decision.
Following the directive, Pandey returned to work by reporting to the Municipal Police Force headquarters on Thursday morning.
The interim order allows Pandey to continue in his official role until the court reaches a final verdict in the ongoing legal proceedings regarding his suspension.
