LALITPUR: A young sub-engineer tragically lost his life after being swept away by a flood in Thula Durlung, Mahankal Rural Municipality-6, in southeastern Lalitpur.

The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Sabin Dahal, originally from Kaleshwor in Mahankal-4. He had been living in Harisiddhi, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-29.

According to Ward Chair Binod Chaulagain, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening when Dahal was caught in a sudden flood in the Bharyang Khola while in Thula Durlung.

“He was swept away around 7:30 PM. His body was recovered at around 10 PM after an intensive search,” Chaulagain said. Lalitpur District Police confirmed the incident and stated that further investigation is currently underway.
