School principal dies in motorcycle accident

HETAUDA: A school principal from Raksirang Rural Municipality in Makwanpur district has died in a motorcycle accident.

Dipendra Kumar Jha, the principal of Kalika Secondary School located in Raksirang Rural Municipality–9, Athor, lost his life in the accident on Thursday night.

According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, the accident occurred at 11:20 PM along the East-West Highway at Rapti Road, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City–10.

The motorcycle (registration number Na 43 Pa 4515) was heading from Buddha Chowk toward Thanabharyang when it crashed.

Jha, a 45-year-old resident of Janakpur–4 in Dhanusha, was critically injured in the crash and taken to Hetauda Hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead at 11:50 PM during treatment.

Principal Jha had been residing in Thanabharyang, Ward No. 11 of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City, and had been serving at the school for a long time.
