Deputy Speaker Rana departs for five-day visit to China

KATHMANDU: Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Indira Rana, has left for a five-day official visit to the People’s Republic of China.

She is leading a two-member delegation to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Forum Media and Think Tank Summit in Henan Province from July 23 to 27.

According to Federal Parliament Secretariat Spokesperson Ekram Giri, the delegation departed on Tuesday night via a China Southern Airlines flight.

Under Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Jagdish Neupane, is accompanying her.

During the visit, Deputy Speaker Rana is scheduled to address the summit and hold meetings with officials of Henan Province.

She will also tour various sites in the province, including Zhengzhou City. Rana is expected to return to Nepal on July 27.
