KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly under the Federal Parliament is scheduled to be held today (Sunday) at 1:15 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar.
The agenda includes a decision to hold clause-wise discussions on the Tourism Bill, 2081.
In addition, five parliamentary committees will also convene meetings today.
These include the Finance Committee, Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee, Education, Health and Information Technology Committee, Public Accounts Committee, and the Joint Committee on the Implementation and Evaluation of the Directive Principles, Policies and Responsibilities of the State.
The Finance Committee will hold discussions related to the National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission.
The meeting will focus on the commission’s recommendations for the current fiscal year’s budget, whether those recommendations were incorporated into the budget, and the challenges faced by the commission, including complaints received by the committee.
Meanwhile, the Agriculture and Cooperatives Committee will discuss the proposed amendments to the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Land, 2082 with the lawmakers who proposed them.
The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee has scheduled an interaction with experts regarding the Media Council Bill, 2080.
The Public Accounts Committee will deliberate on the 61st and 62nd Annual Reports of the Auditor General.
The Joint Committee on the Implementation and Evaluation of State Policies and Responsibilities will discuss the current construction schedule of the Federal Parliament Building under construction in Singha Durbar, as well as the preparations made by the concerned ministry to ensure its timely completion.
