Two missing as jeep plunges into Bhotekoshi River

KATHMANDU: A Bolero jeep plunged into the Bhotekoshi River in Sindhupalchok on Tuesday, with the driver and helper reported missing.

According to police, the vehicle (Ba 21 Cha 7544) was traveling from Tatopani to Barhabise when it veered off the road in Hindi area in ward 4 of Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality.

The missing individuals have been identified as the driver, 23-year-old Rajesh Kumar Kushwah, and the helper, 25-year-old Ram Pravesh Mahatto, both from Sarlahi.

Police believe they were swept away by the river’s current.
