KATHMANDU: The production of the film ‘Stree’ has officially commenced with an auspicious ceremony. The beginning of the project was marked on Rishi Panchami, with a traditional camera puja held at the Ganesthan Temple in Kamaladi.
The film is written and directed by Jeevan Shahi. Principal photography is scheduled to begin on August 30, and will continue for 35 days in and around the Kathmandu area.
Produced under the banner of Mela Recording Studio by Samir Rai and Dr Sukdev Bista, the film’s cast will feature Pramod Agrahari, Salon Basnet, Rista Basnet, and Namrata Shrestha in lead roles.
The narrative, which is centered on a social theme, will also include performances by child actors Dipson Chilwal and Dipendra Chilwal.
The production team comprises Babul Giri for music, Dev Maharjan for stunt choreography, Chandra Bhandari as assistant director, Kewal Man Singh Basnet as production manager, and Subas Kafle as project manager.
