KASKI: A preliminary study and evaluation of damage caused to government, commercial, and private infrastructure during the recent Gen Z protests has begun in Gandaki Province from Saturday.
The Nepal Engineers’ Association Gandaki Province, in coordination with the provincial government, has launched a “Rapid Visual Damage Assessment (RVDA)” campaign to study and evaluate the structures damaged by arson during the protests of September 8 and 9.
According to Association Chairperson Santosh GC, engineers have formed six separate groups to conduct on-site inspections of ministries, government offices, and public buildings under Gandaki Province and to collect data on the extent of the damage.
Each team includes one leader and up to five members, with specific areas of responsibility and inspection sites assigned.
The Association stated that this campaign is expected to provide an accurate picture of the real extent of the damage.
