KATHMANDU: The government has directed all district office chiefs across the country to immediately report to their respective offices.
The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration issued the order in light of possible heavy rainfall forecast, urging chiefs to remain on high alert.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in various parts of the country between October 3 and October 6.
The ministry stated that office chiefs must promptly return to duty in response to this forecast.
Following instructions from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the ministry has asked all district-level office heads under its jurisdiction to ensure compulsory presence at their workplaces by October 4.
The ministry also instructed district coordination officers and chief administrative officers at local levels to adopt precautionary measures, prepare in advance, and actively engage in response efforts.
A notice issued by Undersecretary Bhuwaneshwar Lamichhane emphasized the need for all government bodies to stay vigilant, make advance preparations, and take immediate response measures to minimize the potential impacts of natural disasters.
