KATHMANDU: The British Council has selected a delegation of four influential Nepali film figures for a major UK Film Study Tour in 2025.
The team includes prominent actress Keki Adhikari, leading film critic Abhimanyu Dixit, and respected directors Ngima Gelu Lama and Shanta Nepali.
Their two-week program is timed to coincide with the prestigious BFI London Film Festival, running from October 8 to October 19.
This initiative is a critical step for Nepali cinema. It aims to actively build international bridges by connecting the delegates with UK film professionals and organizations.
The focus is on securing future co-production deals and developing educational opportunities that will help modernize and expand Nepal’s film sector globally.
The tour leverages the British Council’s history of supporting film development and creative skills in Nepal.
