KATHMANDU: Gold prices have set a new record in the local market.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of gold has increased by Rs 8,100 per tola today to Rs 248,500, the highest price ever, according to the federation.

On Monday, the price of gold was trading at Rs 240,400 per tola.

Similarly, a new record has been set in the price of silver. The price of silver has increased by 95 rupees per tola.

According to the federation, silver is being traded at 3,325 rupees per tola.
