KATHMANDU: An earthquake tremor was felt in Bajhang late tonight. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, a quake of magnitude 4.9 struck at 1:08 a.m.

The epicenter was located in Dantola, Bajhang, the center reported. The midnight tremor caused panic among local residents and was also felt in neighboring districts. Local police said no reports of damage have been received so far.
