JHAPA: The ‘LVD First Jhapa Women’s Gold Cup-2025 International Invitation Knockout Football’ tournament is scheduled to begin on Monday.
The competition is being delayed by two days due to rainfall here, caused by Cyclone Montha, which started from the Bay of Bengal.
Previously, the competition was set to start on Saturday at the Dudhe Football Stadium in Shivasatakshi Municipality.
According to the tournament’s President, Santosh Thopra, all preparations for the competition have been completed.
The inaugural match will be played between Nepal Police Club and Church Boys United.
The organizing committee stated that the winning team will receive Rs 1.01 million, and the runner-up will receive Rs 500,000.
The best player of the tournament will be awarded Rs 150,000, and the outstanding players in other categories will each be awarded Rs 25,000.
The player of the match for each game will receive Rs 15,000.
The tournament will feature participation from Tribhuvan Army FC, APF FC, Nepal Police Club, Sankata Football Club, Church Boys United, Jhapa Football Club, RS Pokhara Football Club, and Singling Sporting Club from Sikkim, India.
