KATHMANDU: Leaders running a signature campaign for a special general convention met with Nepali Congress acting president Purna Bahadur Khadka on Saturday.

During a two-hour discussion, Khadka assured the leaders that he would move forward with a special general convention in accordance with the party statute.

He emphasized that he works within the party’s statutory framework and is committed to following proper procedures.

The leaders stressed the urgency of the convention after recent events on September 8-9.

Participants included Gururaj Ghimire, Devraj Chalise, Ramesh Dhamala, Narayan Bhattarai, Jankaraj Giri, Subash Pokharel, and Manojmani Acharya.
