Former Bagmati Province Minister of State Jonchhe passes away

KATHMANDU: Former Minister of State for Industry, Commerce and Supplies of Bagmati Province Rajani Amatya Jonchhe has passed away during treatment.

Jonchhe, who was also a member of the Nepali Congress Mahasamiti, breathed her last on Tuesday morning while undergoing treatment at Madhyapur Thimi Hospital.

Her final rites will be performed later today (Tuesday) at Hanumanghat, Bhaktapur.

Jonchhe had served as the minister of state under the leadership of Rajendra Prasad Pandey in 2021.

She was the widow of martyr Radheshyam Jonchhe. The former minister of state had been unwell for some time before her passing.

Leader Jonchhe was actively involved in political, social, and human rights activities for a long period.

Her mortal remains have been kept at the Radheshyam Memorial Foundation office in Chundevi, Bhaktapur, for the public to pay their respects.

She is survived by three sons.
