KATHMANDU: Rebel leader Janardan Sharma, who broke from CPN (Maoist Centre), announced a new political campaign on Tuesday, ending his decades-long association with Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda).
Criticizing the unification with seven other parties, Sharma said the move lacked principles and warned it was doomed to fail.
Sharma emphasized reform, good governance, and ending caste discrimination.
He accused the party’s convention committee of delaying the general convention and obstructing proper procedures.
He also reiterated commitment to progressive movements, stating, “We are ready to carry the legacy of the People’s War and popular movements.”
