DOHA: President Ramchandra Paudel is scheduled to return home today after attending the Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha, Qatar.
During his visit, he also toured the National Museum of Qatar and the Museum of Islamic Art.Museum officials welcomed President Paudel and briefed him on Qatar’s rich cultural and historical collections.
At the summit, held under the auspices of the United Nations, President Paudel addressed the plenary session and a high-level roundtable focused on strengthening the three pillars of social development—poverty eradication, productive employment, and social inclusion for all.
He also met UN Secretary-General António Guterres during his stay. President Paudel’s visit underscored Nepal’s commitment to global social progress and its active role in promoting peace, inclusion, and sustainable development.
