KATHMANDU: Koteshwor, Sunday, November 2. A bus belonging to Kantipur Engineering College caused a brief traffic obstruction at Koteshwor after it broke down and failed to start.

Soon after, traffic police—who had been less visible on the streets since the Gen Z protests of September 8 and 9—appeared and began pushing the bus to the side of the road.

Since the traffic beat office was nearby, even plainclothes officers joined in to help move the vehicle.

After several minutes of effort, they managed to clear the way, easing the movement of both passengers and vehicles.

At that moment, this scribe recalled the police slogan: “The police are my friends.”
