JANAKPURDHAM: Nepali Congress Madhes province parliamentary party leader, Krishna Prasad Yadav, has said the party would file a case at the Supreme Court, arguing the appointment process of new Chief Minister was illegal.
Talking briefly to media persons at a protest programme organised here after the appointment of CPN UML Madhes province parliamentary party leader, Saroj Kumar Yadav, to the post of Chief Minister early today, NC leader Yadav clarified that they were going to file a case at the SC for legal solution.
He shared that they were going to move the court with signatures of 74 Province Assembly members except that of UML.
Earlier, leader of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Jitendra Prasad Sonal, had resigned from the post of Chief Minister after there was no favourable environment created for him to get the vote of confidence.
Seven political parties including Nepali Congress are all set to wage a legal battle after Madhes Province Chief Sumitra Bhandari appointed UML leader Yadav as Chief Minister early Monday morning.
