NRB announces foreign exchange rates for today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs. 142.54 and the selling rate at Rs. 143.14.

The buying rate for one European Euro is Rs. 164.94 and the selling rate is Rs. 165.63. Similarly, the buying rate for one UK Pound Sterling is Rs. 187.48 and the selling rate is Rs. 188.26. The Swiss Franc’s buying rate stands at Rs. 176.67 and the selling rate at Rs. 177.42.

The buying rate for one Australian Dollar is Rs. 92.49 and the selling rate is Rs. 92.88; for one Canadian Dollar, the buying rate is Rs. 101.17 and the selling rate Rs. 101.60. The Singapore Dollar has a buying rate of Rs. 109.74 and a selling rate of Rs. 110.21.

For 10 Japanese Yen, the buying rate is Rs. 9.11 and the selling rate Rs. 9.15. The Chinese Yuan has a buying rate of Rs. 20.13 and a selling rate of Rs. 20.22. The Saudi Arabian Riyal’s buying and selling rates are Rs. 38.00 and Rs. 38.16, respectively. Similarly, the Qatari Riyal has a buying rate of Rs. 39.11 and a selling rate of Rs. 39.28.

According to the central bank, one Thai Baht has a buying rate of Rs. 4.42 and a selling rate of Rs. 4.44. The UAE Dirham’s buying and selling rates are Rs. 38.81 and Rs. 38.97, respectively; the Malaysian Ringgit has a buying rate of Rs. 34.46 and a selling rate of Rs. 34.61. For 100 South Korean Won, the buying rate is Rs. 9.67 and the selling rate is Rs. 9.71. The Swedish Krona has a buying rate of Rs. 14.95 and a selling rate of Rs. 15.02, while the Danish Krone’s buying and selling rates stand at Rs. 22.08 and Rs. 22.18.

The buying rate for one Hong Kong Dollar is Rs. 18.33 and the selling rate Rs. 18.40. One Kuwaiti Dinar has a buying rate of Rs. 464.19 and a selling rate of Rs. 466.15. The buying rate for one Bahraini Dinar is Rs. 378.09, with a selling rate of Rs. 379.68. The Omani Riyal’s buying and selling rates are Rs. 370.23 and Rs. 371.79, respectively. The Indian Rupee (per 100 units) has a buying rate of Rs. 160 and a selling rate of Rs. 160.15.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed. It also clarified that rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated official rates will be available on the central bank’s website.
