Janakpur set a target of 146 runs to Sudurpaschim

KATHMANDU: Janakpur Bolts has posted a 146-run victory target before Sudurpaschim Royals in today’s second match under the Nepal Premier League.

Elected to bat first after winning the toss at Tribhuvan International Cricket Stadium, Kirtipur, Janakpur Bolts made 145 runs in 20 overs at the loss of eight wickets.

Sanjay Krishnamurthi collected the highest 50 runs for Janakpur Bolts while Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton made 30 runs.

Towards bowling, Sudurpaschim Royals’ Abinash Bohara took four wickets while Scott Kuggeleijn three wickets.

Janakpur Bolts, which is pointless even after playing three matches, is in the target of registering its first win today.

Janakpur Bolts, which is at the bottom of the points table, is likely to be eliminated from the playoff race if it does not win this match.

Similarly, Sudurpaschim Royals has won all four matches and remained at the top place of the points table.

Meanwhile, Lumbini Lions has defeated Pokhara Adventures in today’s first match by three wickets under the NPL.

This is the second win of Lumbini Royals in ongoing NPL journey so far. With this win, Lumbini’s has kept its chances of reaching the playoff alive.
