CHITWAN: Minister for Energy Kulman Ghising has said that politics should be for the cause of social transformation and public service.

Addressing a gathering of Ujyalo Nepal Party Chitwan on Saturday, Minister Ghising argued that politics for personal gains and petty interests has created challenges in the nation.

Ghising, who is also the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, urged the cadres of Ujyalo Nepal Party to dedicate themselves for good causes instead of pointing fingers on others.

“Politics should be for social services and it should not be made a profession. Now, the politics should be service-oriented,” Ghising added.

The party’s leaders Dr Ashutosh Bijay Panta, Rima Bishwakarma, Sita Pandey and others expressed their views saying that the party was established as a new political force by safeguarding the contributions made for the recent political transformation.
