MUMBAI: Nepal’s Sher Malla claimed a wicket in his very first match at the ICC T20 World Cup, marking an impressive start to his international career.

Making his debut against England, Malla struck in his opening over. England batter Phil Salt attempted a flick toward backward square leg but mistimed the shot, producing a leading edge.

The ball was safely taken by Sandeep Lamichhane, sending Salt back to the pavilion. Salt faced just two deliveries and managed only one run before his dismissal.
