KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar priced at Rs 149.64 for buying and Rs 150.24 for selling.
According to the central bank, the euro stands at Rs 173.15 (buying) and Rs 173.84 (selling), while the UK pound sterling is valued at Rs 199.66 and Rs 200.46 respectively. Similarly, the Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 189.90 for buying and Rs 190.66 for selling.
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is set at Rs 105.10 (buying) and Rs 105.52 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 109.04 and Rs 109.48, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 116.70 and Rs 117.16. In Asian and Middle Eastern currencies, the Japanese yen (per 10 units) is priced at Rs 9.40 for buying and Rs 9.44 for selling, the Chinese yuan at Rs 21.73 and Rs 21.82, the Saudi riyal at Rs 39.85 and Rs 40.01, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 40.94 and Rs 41.11.
Likewise, the Thai baht stands at Rs 4.55 (buying) and Rs 4.57 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 40.74 and Rs 40.90, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.98 and Rs 38.14, and the South Korean won (per 100 units) at Rs 9.94 and Rs 9.98.
The Swedish krona is fixed at Rs 16.02 and Rs 16.08, while the Danish krone is at Rs 23.17 and Rs 23.27. The Hong Kong dollar is valued at Rs 19.10 (buying) and Rs 19.18 (selling), the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 488.06 and Rs 490.02, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 396.34 and Rs 397.93, and the Omani riyal at Rs 388.68 and Rs 390.23.
The Indian rupee (per 100 units) has been set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling. The central bank noted that these rates may be revised at any time as needed, and that commercial banks may have slightly different rates, with updated information available on its official website.
