KATHMANDU: A case has been filed on Wednesday at the Kathmandu District Court against medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai.

The case relates to a statement he made prior to the election on March 5, in which he claimed that the election would not take place.

According to the charge sheet filed by the Kathmandu District Government Attorney’s Office, Prasai posted misleading and provocative remarks on Facebook regarding the election held on that date.

The prosecution has sought punishment against Prasai under Section 47 of the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063 BS.
