KATHMANDU: A mild earthquake was felt in Kathmandu on Wednesday evening.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, the earthquake measured 2.9 magnitude.
The center stated that the quake occurred at 7:24 PM on Wednesday, with its epicenter at Matatirtha in Kathmandu.
Although the magnitude was low, tremors were felt across many parts of the Kathmandu Valley because the epicenter was located at a shallow depth beneath the ground surface.
So far, no reports of physical damage or human casualties have been received.
