DAMAULI: Eight people were injured after a passenger microbus crashed into a road divider along the Prithvi Highway at Chhirkane in Vyas Municipality-12, Tanahun, on Thursday afternoon.

According to district police, the microbus (Ga 1 Kha 0171) was en route from Kathmandu to Pokhara carrying 12 passengers when the driver lost control of the vehicle around 4:25 PM.

Four passengers aboard the microbus escaped the collision without injuries.

Six of the injured passengers—Ramesh Chhetri, 32; Shashikala Adhikari, 56; Dayaram Pokharel, 55; Tara Subba, 35; Nabin Khadka, 27; and Ujjwal Yadav, 17—were admitted to Lakshmi Hospital in Dumre.

Meanwhile, Madhav Prasad Joshi, 29, and Jiban Joshi, 24, both hailing from Bajhang district, are currently receiving treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Damauli.
