NEPSE decreases by minor point, transactions hit Rs 2.45 billion

KATHMANDU: On the first trading day of the week today (Monday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased by a minor point.

The NEPSE has decreased by 1.03 points today. Having decreased by 0.03 percent compared to the previous trading day, NEPSE has stopped at the 2,730.91 mark.

On today’s day, the Sensitive Index, however, stopped at the 468.05 mark, having increased by 0.50 points. On the basis of percentage, this is 0.10 percent more compared to the previous trading day. Similarly, the float index increased by 0.01 percent and the sensitive float index increased by 0.11 percent.

In the stock market on Monday, at least 5,828,604 shares were bought and sold in 43,309 times of transactions of 339 companies. According to this, a transaction of Rs 2.45 billion took place on Monday.

In the stock market today, the share prices of 119 companies increased. While the share prices of 132 companies went downward, the share prices of 18 companies remained stable. In NEPSE today, while transactions of 13 groups took place, the indices of 5 groups increased while the indices of 8 groups went downward.

According to this, on Monday, the index of Commercial Bank increased by 0.14 percent and the Development Bank group by 1.37 percent. The index of finance decreased by 0.01 percent and the hotel and tourism group by 0.23 percent.

Similarly, the index of hydropower increased by 0.16 percent and the investment group by 0.09 percent. The index of life insurance decreased by 0.07 percent, manufacturing and processing by 0.58 percent, microfinance by 0.24 percent, mutual funds by 0.13 percent, and the non-life insurance group by 0.69 percent.

Likewise, while the index of the Others group increased by 0.31 percent, the sub-index of the Trading group decreased by 0.48 percent.

In NEPSE on Monday, the investors of Ingwa Hydropower earned 8.42 percent. Similarly, the investors of NIFRA Energy Bond lost 5.26 percent of the share price.

On the basis of transaction amount, Sahas Urja remained in the foremost position. Today, a transaction of Rs 84.3 million for Sahas took place.

Similarly, on the basis of the number of shares traded, National Hydropower Company remained ahead. On Monday, at least 187,372 shares of this were bought and sold. Its final trading price, however, was maintained at Rs 281 per share.
