NEPSE decreases by 6.31 points with Rs 4.047 billion turnover on Tuesday

KATHMANDU: On the second trading day of the week today (Tuesday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased as well. NEPSE, which remained volatile throughout the day, ultimately decreased by a single digit. The trading volume of NEPSE has also decreased compared to the previous day.

The NEPSE on Tuesday decreased by 6.31 points. On Monday, however, it had decreased by 12.26 points. Decreasing by 0.23 percent compared to the previous trading day, NEPSE stopped at 2705.45 points today.

On today’s day, the Sensitive Index also decreased by 1.48 points and stopped at 464.64 points. On a percentage basis, this is 0.31 percent less compared to the previous trading day. Similarly, the float index decreased by 0.28 percent, and the sensitive float index decreased by 0.36 percent.

In the stock market on Tuesday, at least 10,708,596 shares were bought and sold in 48,116 transactions of 355 companies. According to this, a turnover of Rs 4.047 billion took place on Tuesday. On Monday, however, a turnover of Rs 4.412 billion had taken place.

In the stock market today, the share prices of only 80 companies increased. While the share prices of 177 companies went downwards, the share prices of 15 companies remained stable. Out of the 13 groups traded in NEPSE today (Tuesday), only the indices of the Mutual Fund and Trading groups increased, while the indices of the remaining 11 groups decreased.

According to this, on Tuesday, the indices of Commercial Bank decreased by 0.32 percent, Development Bank by 0.42 percent, Finance by 0.62 percent, Hotels and Tourism by 0.16 percent, Hydro Power by 0.28 percent, Investment by 0.27 percent, Life Insurance by 0.20 percent, Manufacturing and Processing by 0.14 percent, and Microfinance Group by 0.11 percent. The index of the mutual fund group increased by 0.05 percent, while non-life insurance decreased by 0.40 percent, and the index of the other group decreased by 0.06 percent. Similarly, the sub-index of the trading group increased by 0.31 percent.

In NEPSE on Tuesday as well, the investors of Sopan Pharmaceuticals earned 15 percent. That is, a positive circuit was triggered in the share price of Sopan. On Monday, the investors of Sopan had earned 14.99 percent. Likewise, the investors of Sayapatri Hydropower lost 4.90 percent in share price.

On the basis of trading volume, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company remained at the forefront today as well. On Tuesday, its turnover of Rs 319.9 million took place. On Monday, its turnover of Rs 388.5 million had taken place.

Similarly, on the basis of the number of traded shares, Kumari Dhanabriddhi Yojana (Mutual Fund) stayed ahead today. On Tuesday, at least 1,063,850 units of its shares were traded. Its final trading price today, however, was maintained at Rs 11.25 per unit.
